Personal data relates to a living individual who can be identified from that data. Identification can be by the information alone. The processing of personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”).

Expressions Kitchens & Bedrooms are a retail showroom we supply and install furniture into client’s homes.

Expressions complies with its obligations under the “GDPR” by keeping personal data up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data. We use your personal data for the following purposes: -
- To enable us to provide a service supplying and or installing furniture into your home
- To raise invoices
- To maintain our own accounts and records
- We will only pass your details to any relevant sub-contractors required for your project, with prior consent.
4. What is the legal basis for processing your personal data?
- Explicit consent of the data to professionally manage the project.
- As part of a contract of sale.
- Legitimate interest of services
5. Sharing your personal data
Personal data will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be shared with other employees of Expressions. We will only share your data with sub-contractors who we recommend for you to use or suppliers for delivery reasons with your prior consent. There is no disclosure to a third party without consent.
6. How long do we keep your personal data for CUSTOMERS?
We have to keep data as required by law for 6 years, however we do keep customers files for 10 years, for the purposes of remedial work. The hardcopies are then shredded. The information remains on the account and sales systems but will not be shared. On request all data can be erased.
6A: Personal data for ENQUIRIES ONLY:
All files that do not form a contract of sale are kept for 2-3 years. The hardcopies are then shredded. All information stays on the sales systems but will not be used or shared. All data will follow the same process as per this notice under GDPR guidelines. On request all data can be erased.

- The right to request a copy of your personal data which Expressions holds about you;
- The right to request that Expressions corrects any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date;
- The right to request your personal data is erased;
- The right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time
- The right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office.
